The Artists Registry at the National September 11 Memorial Museum (NS11MM) is an online digital database. The Registry’s mission is to provide a gathering place and virtual gallery for art created in response to the events of September 11 by members of a diverse artistic community ranging from seasoned professionals to individuals inspired, perhaps for the first time, to express their reactions to 9/11 through visual, tactile or auditory media. The database, which is not formally curated, reflects the democratic breadth of artistic and artisanal response to the tragedy of the September 11 terrorist attacks and their aftermath.
